Earlier, in the consolation showdown, JR showed no mercy in an all-Mustang affair, beating a surprising Tony Brakohiapa in the Cooper Tire BSP Tuskegee Airmen Ford. The Final-4 showing was still a huge win for Brakohiapa, who qualified a lowly 26th and managed to claw his way (he upset higher seeds through his entire bracket run) into the Final 4,the first of his Formula D career.
